TC1000 Treadclimber Review
What ever you do, don't be taken in by all the “fake” negative reviews that are out there online on the Bowflex TC1000 or any other Bowflex treadclimber for that matter. Look just a little bit deeper and you'll see that the site either sells a competing brand of treadclimber or they exclusively carry “good old fashioned treadmills”.
It's the fake reviews that have the machine breaking down or experiencing mechanical diculties in first two weeks of ownership that cause me to crack a smile. Doesn't the person who did the creative writing know that Bowflex provides a free six week, no questions asked trial period? If you don't like it, simply give it back for a 100% refund.
Even so I have reviewed the Bowflex TC1000 thoroughly and do have some trouble recommending it. This is because when it's compared to the TC3000, it seems to me that for just a few hundred dollars more you seem to get so much more in the TC3000. So what do you get more of in the TC3000 that you don't get in the Bowflex TC1000.
Well to start out with, the warranties on the TC1000 only last for one year. Thats a year on parts and workmanship, a year on the hydraulics and a year on the electronics. Me personally, I think a year is just not long enough, especially when you consider that with the TC3000 you get two year warranties. Whats the deal there?
Then the maximum speed on the TC1000 is only 3 mph, which is not very fast. Sure it will suffice but with the TC3000 you get a 4 mph max speed. So lower maximum speed and warranties that are cut in half just makes me stop and wonder if it just makes better sense to spend the extra few hundred dollars for the TC3000. There is one catch though and that's that there are some pretty ridiculously cheap “used” TC1000 treadmills for sale online.
