SelectTech 552 Dumbbells
I will admit that it was a pretty big step for me to plunk down the money and buy my set of SelectTech 552 dumbbells last year. My job situation wasn't as secure as I would have liked it to be at the time and lets face it, I could have picked up the same amount of dumbbell weights out of the local classified ads for a fraction of the $400 and some change that paid for them.
But the deal was that I had read so much about them online and seen them in pictures I don't know how many times and I was just sold on them. You see, I live in a one bedroom apt. here in San Francisco, have a basic weight bench and some weights on my tiny back porch and one of their big selling points is that they take up very little space and they don't.
Let me tell you that they are simply amazing and I'm not alone in my opinion. When I first got my SelectTech 552 Dumbbells all my friends just had to see them and try them out for themselves. Really, they simply have to actually be seen and held to be fully appreciated for things like the nice smooth tight click of the dial and the super comfortable rounded ergonomic handles.
Just their shape and the way that they work is amazing. Super heavy plastic coating and the nice and sturdy heavy foam base make them just a pleasure to do my reps with. The one final feature that I absolutely have to mention is that I can do these amazing sets where I start out heavy and then successively click down the weight as my arm fatigues. My arms swell up like freakin balloons after doing a set of those.
