Bowflex Ultimate 2 Home Gym Review

Recently I was given the responsibility of scouting out the best exercise machine for the gun club that I am on the board of here in southern Oregon. After much research and reading a heck of a lot of reviews, I finally settled on the Bowflex Ultimate 2. While I could have easily found a cheaper machine, there were a number of selling points that caught my eye on this one. Also I might also add that there turned out a few negatives that are also noted in this brief report.

With 95 separate exercises and maximum resistance “off the shelf” at 310 and upgradeable to 410, this machine easily accommodates all our members and their guests. Also at a full 6'-10'' long, it's also a big machine as well, so there hasn't been any reports of anyone having any trouble fitting on it for sure. It also came with all the special attachments: lat tower, leg extensions, and both leg and arm curl assemblies.

I also liked the 12 year warranty that covers me from having to deal with any further expenses long into the foreseeable future. However; the one thing that finally sold me was the 6 week result guarantee. Surprisingly, with so many features and available exercises our Bowflex Ultimate 2 is also a very easy workout machine to use. Bottom line: Everyone likes it.

Now for the downsides of this otherwise very nice piece of fitness machinery. The first thing that came to light is that so many of the adds and promotional material on it can lead one to believe that it's far easier to fold and move around than it is. It's big and heavy and easily takes two people to push on the carpet. Also I was disappointed that our machine didn't come with a free mat, like other less expensive machines do. Go figure?
