I have personally reviewed a heck of a lot of fitness equipment over the years and the fact that I live and work in New York City makes this task somewhat easier than If I lived, say in a small town. I get the email to go and check something out, generally read up on it a bit then hop on the subway to go and track it down. So then whats the deal with all the negative reviews on the Bowflex Revolution FT that I found online?
I'll tell you what the deal is. These people who wrote these reviews did all their research sitting behind a computer. How do I know this? Because this machine was harder than most to track down and because it “is” in fact a great fitness machine for a "certain type" of person. So now. What's all the howling out there about the fact that the FT doesn't come with a bench?
The deal is that these people have a one track mind and have never seen what a great truly compact machine this unit is. I was totally impressed because for someone who lives in a loft or a studio apt., there is now a Bowflex machine just for them. This baby easily tucks into a corner and features some 90+ exercises. Also the quite and smooth "SpiraFlex" technology is awesome.
The deal is that once a person moves into a bigger place, they can simply buy a bench for the damn machine. It's no big deal. Also as far as price is concerned, I found that for what this machine delivers, as the cheapest Revolution model, the Bowflex Revolution FT was quie reasonably priced at the two places that I found it.
It comes off the shelf registering 10 to 200 pounds of resistance and can be upgraded to to 280, so its definitely not for the person who's looking to build extensive muscle mass. However; for someone who is living in confined quarters and desires a "top of the line" Bowflex fitness machine and who's also interested in saving a few dollars, pounds or euros in the process, the Bowflex Revolution FT is well worth taking a good look at
