I really don't get it. I've read several reviews on the Bowflex Equipment Mat online and they all seem say that their mat ripped and do a pretty good job of making it sound like the mat is somehow thin and inadequate. I have one. I got it for free when I bought my Series 7 treadmill and to be quite honest with you, I'm not sure that I would have bought one at the time, stricktly because of these bad reviews
The deal is though that you do need a mat if your piece of equipment is going to be standing on any type of floor that you value. Has mine ripped? Nope! As a matter of fact, I was somewhat surprised to see that it's in fact made out of thick, durable foam rubber and fuctions just fine. It also looks great too with the bright red Bowflex logo smack dab in the middle. I like it.
So whats the deal? The deal is that I found out online that there are a few different competing types and brands of equipment mats out there and my only guess is that these negative reviews are published online by their suppliers and their shills. Hey, they have to say something negetive because most all of them are more expensive than Bowflex equipment mats.
So in the end there really is very little positive that I can say about the Bowflex equipment mat because after all, it's just a black foam rubber mat that protects my floor and helps keep my treadmill anchored, I suppose. It does function just as it was advertised to do, hasn't ripped doesn't appear to be wearing out or defective in any way. Would I buy one for the advertised price today if I needed one? Sure! why not?

My mat works great I’ve had it for a few years now without any problems.

This is a great mat to use when working out. It is tough, durable and versatile as well as suprisingly comfortable when using it for support when doing press-ups and crunches.
